Great to see the team working in the offseason! How nice would it be to take a trip to Spain to watch some of the Mountaineers in the World Championships? Thank you for the report Kyle. Lets Go Mountaineers.

There were some ups and down, but overall it was a pretty solid weekend in Ohio for Mountaineer Wrestling. Across three days of wrestling, we finished with three U23 All-Americans. Scott Joll finishes 6th in Greco-Roman, Peyton Hall 2nd in freestyle, and Austin Cooley 5th in freestyle.

It was quite the week for Peyton has he spent Wednesday and Thursday in Dallas, Texas as the lone student-athlete represent for WVU athletics at the Big 12 Champions for life dinner. He attended the dinner with Gordon Gee, Shane Lyons, Kelli Zinn, to name a few.

It was also great to have Austin Cooley back on the mat. This weekend was his first matches since he injured his shoulder as this same tournament a year ago. He improved his finish by three spots from last year, and in the placing round, avenged a previous loss.

Below you'll see complete results from everyone who competed. Since you don't compete for your university in Greco-Roman and freestyle, I've tried to make it clear who each wrestler competes for collegiately. Unfortunately, Davin Rhoads wasn't able to compete. He was a little banged up, and we weren't able to get him ready in time.
