The season is still young, but here is what we have right now at 152 for AAA:
Region 1: One forfeit and 6 wrestlers. Of the six, there is one returning runner up and one qualifier. Two open slots for NEW State Tournament Qualifiers (NSTQ).
Region 2: Two forfeits and 5 wrestlers. Of the five, there are 2 returning qualifiers. Two open slots for NSTQs.
Region 3: One forfeit and 7 wrestlers. Of the seven, there is ONE lone returning qualifier. THREE open slots for NSTQs. THREE!!!!!!!
Region 4: ZERO forfeits and 7 wrestlers. Of the seven, there is one returning 3rd placer, two returning 4th placers and two returning qualifiers. The two qualifiers are Hinzman/South and Gibson/Hurricane. There are no free slots for NSTQs. Matter of fact, there is a returning state tournament qualifier that will be staying home. 4-5 = -1
Currently, this weight class has enough wrestlers to select four per region. However, for future use when we get the "Regional 5th place wild card system into place", this is a scenario to look at.
Region 4 more than likely will dominate the polls for 152. In addition, there are five returning state tournament qualifiers. Our current system will keep a qualifier home and begin the state tournament with a forfeit/default(bye). I also would bet a biscuit that the Fab 5 from region 4 will whip the gravy out of the other wrestlers from region 2 and 3 (possibly 1) all season long.

Re: AAA 152 by Region
In further follow up, AAA 160 has been mentioned as possibly the toughest weight class. However, the returning top wrestlers are spread across all four regions. This allows for them to qualify for the state tournament and bring along some fellow region NSTQs with them.
Region 4 152 is more difficult to qualify for the state tournament.
Some 152 pounder has a choice. Stay at 152 and hope to qualify???? Eat up to 160, qualify and then hope to place in the states?????
