JV Watch

Here are a few significant JV wrestlers that have made an impact this season:

1. Casuccio/East Fairmont/106. He won the Superior Photo Scholarship Tournament. We need to watch how some of the kids he defeated rank in the individual polls. I suspect his A team team mate will be the #1 ranked wrestler.

2. Zach Wilson/South/132. He lost to Riverside's Slack only 2-0. He defeated returning runner up Spencer of Roane, 3-0.

3. Jackson County Invitational. Independence JV was 2nd. Huntington's JV was 6th. Individual winners were:
Dawson/Independence/126 was champion. He is currently behind two time runner up Tanner Harris.
McClarity/Independence/138 was champion. He currently splits time with returning runner up Alex Hart.
Gunnoe/Independence/195 was champion. He wrestle off options are either three time state champion Jacob Hart or possibly 3 time national champ and Pan Am Champion Noah Adams.
Hagley of Huntington was also champion.

With so many byes in most tournaments, there are plenty of good wrestlers out there wanting to fill a slot.
