I understand how the criteria works and being a state qualifier is very important in the sport of wrestling but this list i believe shouldn't be evolved just around that by itself many of these regions run very deep and wrestlers who are defeated by other wrestlers who didn't qualify for states for example Hines from Nicholas county is ranked #6 on your list but has lost 2 times to Liggett from North Marion by fall twice who is yet to qualify for states and Moss from Sissonville was defeated by Riner from Spring Valley who also didn't qualify for states probably mainly due to being in AAA i belive it is important to have qualified for states but this should be looked at more as a who beat who situation instead of a who went to states and racked up a couple wins when they were defeated by these other guys

Thank you for your input.

1. Riner is AAA and Moss is AA. The Bear Tracks rankings are kept separate just like the WVMat Coaches' Rankings and the WV State Tournament are separate.

2. Hines went to the state tournament at 126. Liggett finished the season at 132. Without knowing the details of their two matches, it can be concluded that Liggett was bigger, thus Hines was smaller. Hines made the adjustment and went 126.

3. I checked into AA/A region 1 at 132. Here is what I found:
a. Liggett was seeded fourth and finished sixth.
b. Liggett pinned Fox of Berkeley Springs in :49 in the quarterfinals. They then had a rematch for 5th place and Fox won.
c. Region 1 AA/A 132 was tough. Here is the breakdown.

Lamb/regional seed #1/regional finish 1/State finish 2nd
Armistead/regional seed #2/regional finish 2/State finish 3rd
Zombotti/regional seed #3/regional finish 3/State finish Q2
Barthelow/regional seed #6/regional finish 4/State finish 0-2
Fox/regional seed #5/regional finish 5
Liggett/regional seed 4/regional finish 6

My conclusion is Liggett didn't have a good day at the regional tournament. Moving forward, tell me what weight class he is in this season so I can watch for him. Matter of fact, what is North Marion's whole line up?

I do know that North Marion is scheduled to attend the Hedgesville Duals this weekend. Where can I find the results so I can update Bear Tracks?

Good luck to all!!!!!
