The West Liberty University wrestling program has recently renovated the wrestling room in honor of the legendary Coach Vince Monseau. The reveal and dedication of the newly renovated room will take place Saturday September 12th at 12:15pm in front of the wrestling room. We are inviting alumni, friends, and family of the WLU wrestling program to attend this historical event to showcase the best wrestling room in the Ohio valley as well one of the best D2 wrestling room in the country.
Dr. Vince Monseau will be forever linked to the West Liberty University wrestling tradition. From 1973 to 2004. Dr. Monseau coached 72 NCAA and NAIA All-Americans, 34 Academic All-Americans and 6 national champions. He compiled a 359-221-7 career record and led the Hilltoppers to a national runner-up finish in 1995.To honor this living legend, funds were raised within the WLU wrestling community to support our newly-renovated wrestling room along with an endowed scholarship. The renovations include new flooring, new mat sections, national champion banners, weights and cardio equipment, an Academic All-American plaque and a new sound system.
Thank you!
