Watters announced for All Star classic

Watters will be wrestling Penn states Shane Van ness who was 3rd at 149 in 2023 as a RSfreshman before taking a medical RS last year ..

Pretty awesome West Virginia will be represented at the all star classic but Ty is in for a tough battle , if van ness is in 2023 form it could be a stylistic nightmare for Ty , his top game could keep him in it but van ness is elite on his feet

Also at the All-Star Classic Peyton Hall will be wrestling Hunter Garvin from Stanford. Garvin is a Soph. this year and finished 6th last year at the National Tournament.

I would expect both Ty Watters and Peyton Hall to represent WVU well and hopefully this will pay dividends on future recruiting.

Mixed results tonight , Ty battled for 7 minutes but van ness is the best 149 in the country and you can’t make mistakes against the top guys and live to tell about it

Peyton looked great, some great scrambles and got the score he needed in the 3rd and finished it with a pin like he has so many other times I really believe we see him and Watters wrestling Friday night of ncaas in the semis this year

Some great exposure for WVU both guys wrestle a fun fan friendly style I’m feeling pretty optimistic for this season
