Don't forget the in-state recruit Matthew Dolan. He will add good depth at 125 and if he can put on a little more size in the next couple years, I think he will be a sloid part of the line-up.
Re: Recruiting, Signing & Staffing
He’s a scrambling machine. Will be exciting to watch.
Now we need to hit the LW transfer market

I’m thinking maybe Cooper Flynn at VT who is awesome but just can’t seem to beat Ventresca.

Interesting that someone brings up Cooper Flynn possibly entering the transfer portal. I have been thinking this since hearing that he lost his wrestle off and then he lost again at the Southeast Open. I can't see someone of his caliber willfully sitting the bench behind Ventresca at 125 and with Sam Latona at 133, only being a sophomore, it doesn't look like Cooper will crack the lineup in the next three years. I believe that there is a good chance he transfers out of Virginia Tech. Coach Flynn got one pretty good transfer out of Va. Tech, could he end up with another?
Re: Recruiting, Signing & Staffing
The 12.8.22 issue of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had an article on the top AAA wrestlers in the WPIAL. Two WVU recruits mentioned. West Allegheny High School is near the Pittsburgh airport and the Brooke/Hancock County, WV-Pennsylvania state line.
Shawn Taylor, West Allegheny (Jr., 42-8, 55-13) - Taylor, a West Virginia recruit, was a WPIAL runner-up at 160 pounds last season. He also placed fourth in the state.
Ty Watters, West Allegheny (Sr., 35-3, 59-8) - Watters, a West Virginia recruit, is a two-time PIAA qualifier and one-time champ who missed his sophomore season with an injury. Last season, he placed second in the WPIAL and first in the state at 145 pounds.
