WVU Wrestling Camps

Postby KBratke » Fri Feb 25, 2022 10:08 am

We've a received a good amount of interest from middle schools. I just want to reiterate that our camps are open to any and all ages and experience. However, if we have enough middle school teams in attendance, we will be able to conduct duals between the middle schools instead of also mixing in some high school wrestlers. We already have a commitment from a West Virginia and Ohio middle school.

These camps will take place on the campus of West Virginia University and will take place from June 26-July 2. One team camp will run through June 26-29 and the second one from June 29-July 2.

There are also intensive and technique camp options if you believe that is a better for your wrestler(s).

The most popular camps are the team camps. Team camp allows wrestlers to receive technique instruction, but also get actual matches in. Last year we had schools from West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Below is the list of all the camps that will run from June 26-July 2. You can register and find more information on each camp here: http://wvucamps.com/camps.cfm

Just wanted to bump this to the top.

We just had a team from Delaware register and is bringing 27 wrestlers. No matter which camp you choose, this is a great way to get better, get matches in, and work with the WVU coaching staff and wrestlers. Both Killian Cardinale and Peyton Hall will be in attendance, and three-time NCAA champion Greg Jones will likely be working some session as well.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask myself at kyle.bratke@mail.wvu.edu or Cliff Moore at clifford.moore@mail.wvu.edu.
