Comments: 113 wrestlers are ranked SEVENTEEN DEEP!!! Five of the top 10 are in region 1 while only two of the seventeen are coming out of region 3. Please advise who I am overlooking from region 3. In addition, Hoover JV Preston Rhodes WOULD be ranked (or is ranked behind the scenes) at #4 based on head to head wins. Rhodes would qualify for the state tournament in any region he entered. Someday, the WV State Tournament might contain the states best wrestlers. However, as long as we have the current “take the top 4 from every region” approach and keep top JV out, we got what we got. The WSAZ format allows the best to battle as long as the given school enters.
