160 - Incredible!!!!!

I want to give a shout out to TWO 160 pounders at Independence High School for their performances today.

1. #10 ranked Nate Warden won the Williamstown Bob Zide Rumble. He wrestled his way out of a pig tail and defeated the third seed, the second seed and then defeated the number one seed which was ranked #8 in the most recent polls.

2. Unranked Mason Kump won the Beckley Newspaper Invitational. Being seeded 5th, Kump defeated the 5th and 6th ranked wrestlers in route to winning the 160 pound championship.

Two wrestlers on the same team combined to defeat three wrestlers ranked in the top 10.

I am looking forward to the day when the JV teams are allowed to enter the regional tournaments.
