OVAC Winter Athlete of the year voting

A scholarship is available through the OVAC and Belmont College winter athlete of the year. All senior athletes who were selected as OVAC athlete of the month are eligible to win, and the winner is decided based on a voting system.

Anthony is a senior at John Marshall who will be continuing his academic and athletic careers at WVU in the fall. Anthony is a 3x OVAC finalist, 2x OVAC champion, 2x State finalist, 1x state champion, co-most outstanding wrestler of the 2019 WV state tournament, and finished his career as an All-American with his 3rd place finish at the NHSCA Senior Nationals. His senior season record was 43-3 with 2 of his losses coming to guys ranked in the top 5 in the nation and has a career record of 156-25. He is in the running to receive a scholarship for OVAC winter athlete of the year, an award he is more than deserving of. He’s an incredibly hard worker both in the classroom and on the mat, and a very nice and humble young man. Please take a moment to vote for Anthony - you are eligible to do so 1x every 24hrs.

So Braxton Amos wins Ironman and Powerade in December and doesn’t get mentioned? Biased much?

Amos, Haga, Roberts & Hinzman all have a good argument but they’re from South and that doesn’t sit well with the good ole boys.
The puzzling omission is Hall and Shelek.

That being said Anthony is the only wv wrestler nominated and I hope everyone voted for him!

Well there you have it.....that explains why none of Souths kids got nominated.
