Do you remember who the top 4 seeds were at that class that particular season? 126-152 are generally very competitive weights

Re: Rankings
I recently looked this one up for another reason but I will throw it out here.
2010 Mike Cotterell of Logan High School won the 285 pound state title.
The individual ranking dates were as follows for Cotterell:
1/6/2010 Unranked (UR)
1/13/2010 UR
1/21/2010 UR
1/27/2010 UR
2/3/2010 UR
2/10/2010 UR
2/17/2010 UR
2/24/2010 Cotterell was ranked 8th out of 8.
Following weekend he won the state title over a wrestler that was ranked #1 all season.
*****Logan only had five wrestlers compete in the regional tournament. Only Cotterell qualified for the state tournament. He won the title.
One individual went to the state tournament without a team. This is why wrestling is great.

I'm sure there will be more to come but the point I was trying to prove with the topic was sometimes an upset wasn't really an upset at allBearhugger wrote:I recently looked this one up for another reason but I will throw it out here.

That's real nice. Regardless as an incoming freshman wrestling upper weights that are generally upperclassmen. No one knew that he was going to be a three timer at this point. It's still impressive especially pinning a senior in the finals his freshman year as well.
