University HS is still accepting teams for the Superior Photo Scholarship Tournament. Great competition, all done on trackwrestling, 2 scholarships given away, JV wrestlers allowed in at no extra charge! Tournament website - http://www.superiortournament.com. Superior Photo Scholarship Tournament - December 2nd & 3rd, 2016
Location – University High School – 131 Bakers Ridge Rd. Morgantown, WV 26508
Weigh – Ins – Friday 12/2/16 – 2:00 PM, Saturday 12/3/16 – 8:00 AM
Start Times – Friday 12/2/16 4:00 PM, Saturday 12/3/16 – 10:00 AM
Format – Bracketed tournament, double elimination with full wrestle backs on 4 mats. Each team is permitted 2 wrestlers per weight class. Only the varsity wrestler will score team points. If there are spots still open in the bracket, teams may enter more than 2. Tournament will be run on track wrestling with real time results!
Awards – Individual awards for top 6 in each weight class, Team awards for 1st and 2nd place teams, outstanding wrestler.
Scholarships – A $500 scholarships will be given out to 2 wrestlers (More info to follow)
Entry Fee - $250 per team (No extra fee for JV wrestlers!) Make checks payable to University HS
Entry deadline – Please have your rosters submitted to Trackwrestling by Tuesday, November 29th (You will be sent a username and password). Please email seeding info in to ksmaisel@comcast.net by Tuesday, November 29th. A wrestler will NOT be able to change weight classes AFTER the committee seeding meeting! This is an early tournament. Make sure you check your alpha sheet to know what weight class your wrestler is eligible for.
Seeding meeting – There is no seeding meeting since this is the first tournament of the year. The committee will meet on Wednesday, November 30th and we will have the info to you by Thursday evening.

Spectator admission – Friday –Adults $5, Students $4, Saturday –Adults $7, Students $5.
Tentative Teams – University (#9), Cabell Midland (#3), Point Pleasant (#8), St. Albans (#6), Oak Glen (#5), Roane County (#2), Calhoun County (#4), Lewis County, Laurel Highlands (PA), Cameron (Many more teams have expressed interest!)
