Re: Countdown to the Brooke Classic
The funny thing is... Zach doesn't care that he's not ranked. I believe he gets snubbed because he doesn't go to all these other tournaments, but that's because his focus is on football. Let that sink in a little bit... he focuses on football and is still this good at wrestling. Zach is a great kid...

Re: Countdown to the Brooke Classic
aaacoach33: Just for clarity, I'm guessing those are your picks for top 6 in the weight classes and not you predicted/projected order of finish. I won’t put “my picks” on here for this tournament. These are the top 6 seeds by predetermined criteria. They still have to wrestle. Also, as always there...

Re: Countdown to the Brooke Classic
Padilla was 2019 Ohio D-1 State Champ. He was undefeated last season. You’re right he won it last year (unclear why the Ohio stud doesn’t attend Ironman). I was thinking of the previous year when he finished 8th at 285. Zach cruises through the Brooke tournament. Studcradle, your cockiness is why a...

Even if Brecksville didn’t have a conflict in their schedule, they generally don’t ever bump around for a particular matchup in tournaments. Side note, Hall wins that match

Re: 2020 Frank Ferguson Brooke Classic
This is a serious question and not a slight to Zach Frazier? Is there a heavyweight on any of those teams to push him this weekend? Just wondering if anyone who follows him has looked into this. I've seen all but 6 or 7 of these teams so far this year and can't recall anyone on the ones I've seen. ...

Re: Dual meet rosters
During a dual can a wrestler bump weight class to chase or run away from another wrestler ? or must a lineup be written up at what point during the meet and cannot be changed ? During a dual the coach has the option to send a wrestler out at the weight they weighed in at or the weight class above o...

If more people were familiar with how the OVAC does it, I think more would want it. And then you could add a sectional to make up for that stupid/useless empty week they added a few years back

Re: Anyone scheduling an alternative to WSAZ?
I have taken my team to the WSAZ several times. We've actually done well in it on a few occasions- better than most, I'd say,.. however, it does have it's own set of headaches. It is a kind of showcase, particularly if you have some spectacular kids that should meet their A/AA/AAA counterparts, but...
