Hey guys just a few updates on the JR States.

Seeding meeting is Tomorrow 2/29 10am @ the Comfort suites in Mineral Wells. There was an error on the flyer of the correct date. We have tried our best to let all coaches and teams know of the error. It is recommended that all teams have 1 representative attend the meeting. However for those who cannot attend, Seeding will be posted on here under the forum by Sunday morning.

There are 3 hotels who have offered discounted Rooms for wrestling families attending the JR States.

Comfort Suites in Mineral Wells 304-699-0886
Hampton Inn in Mineral Wells 304-489-2900
Holiday Inn Express in Parkersburg 304-916-7380
I believe these rooms are $85 a night, all 3 hotels are located within 15 minutes of PHS. When booking your room, let them know you are with the JR States to receive discount.

1 day $5 and 2 day $10 passes will be available at weigh ins. As well as programs $5. Coaches can also pick up their coaches packet the night of weigh ins also.

Weigh ins on “Friday” will start at 4:30 and wrap up at 9:00. It is recommended for wrestlers to wear their singlet or be comfortable undressing to their boxers for skin and nail checks. A female staff member and an extra room will be available for female participants. Parents- PHS doesn’t let out of school until 3:30. For safety reasons, “Please” do not come on to school property until 4pm for weigh ins. With all the traffic leaving and arriving this will help assure safety of our wrestlers and PHS students.

Friday, Saturday or Sunday- please do not park on the grass ANYWHERE at PHS, please do not use the surrounding businesses parking and please do not park illegally. Illegal parked cars will be towed at the owners expense.

As always, those without a floor band “will not” be aloud on the floor during action. “Team photographers or parents wishing to record” matches will have to do so from the stands. Coaches please do not give your bands to your “team photographer”. Them as well as anyone on the floor without a band will be asked to leave. The congested area just makes it hard for spectators to see and wrestlers/coaches to get to/from their mats.

Weight classes with 4 or more wrestlers will be bracketed. Weight classes with 3 or less will be R/R and wrestled on Sunday only.

If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call.
