Can you please tell me when the WV Youth State Tournament is for 2017? I need to request days off work way in advance and can’t seem to find the dates for the State Tourney. Thank you

Agreed. Looks like the two parties came together somewhat, and it looks like every kid in the state will have the opportunity to wrestle at both tournaments this year. What else could our YOUTH WRESTLER ask for.

As someone that is a fan of both or the ability to attend both. I am pretty happy about this.

I am also going to play devils advocate for a second. What are the chances one of the tournaments goes to an odd year setup?

If one was trying to boost attendance might be a selling point to get folks to drive the extra weekend. For the record as a parent of an 8th grader this wouldn't benefit me in anyway. Just think it could be a selling point.

I'm all about Parkersburg being the "true" states. I agree with the statement but everything that happend is their own fault. They outgrew that old gym and didn't wanna share the pie. They did it to themselves boys so it won't be the "true" states very much longer. You stay in the slow lane too long and eventually your gonna get passed. Gonna miss the smell of that old gym but the new group is really wanting to make WV wrestling better and I see nothing but good in that!

I am against 2 state tournaments for youth. I think there should be one plain and simple.
