Intercepted Memo - Separating #1 and #2

The word on the street is there will be a modification to the pill selection this season based on an Intercepted memo sent into Bear Tracks Headquarters.

The objective is to separate the #1 and #2 ranked wrestlers in each weight class.

The intercepted memo states: "The coaches committee will rank the top two wrestlers in each weight class using the regional seeding criteria. Three pills will be drawn. Any conflicts with the 1 and 2 ranking wrestlers will be resolved by going to the next order of the pill that was drawn in that weight class".

It appears rankings WILL matter.

Know your #1 and #2 wrestlers. Know your rankings. Know your team's scores and results. Make sure the rankings are accurate. Know your regional seeding criteria.

Regional situation: Just a thought. 1 and. 2 are in the same region. 1 or 2 injury defaults semis, receives a bye in the wrestle backs and defaults to 4th place and qualifies foes states. Will they split them and how?

If the decision makers decide to continue to recognize the #2 as the #2 after the default situation, then they could simply select the next pill to separate 1 and 2 for this given weight class.

So will there have to be a rerank after regional results are in or will they just go with the pre-regional rankings?

The bigger question is: who is doing the rankings and is there any criteria on the rankings?
