Regarding AA/A region 1's 132 pound weight class, there are currently 15 wrestlers for 15 participating schools. ZERO forfeits.

Of the 15, there is: one runner up, one 6th placer, and six additional qualifiers. EIGHT returning state tournament wrestlers fighting for four spots.

Cut down?

126 only has 9 wrestlers and 6 forfeits. Of the 9, there is one returning champion, one third placer and zero qualifiers. TWO returning state tournament wrestlers for four spots.

Eat up?

138 has 14 wrestlers and one forfeit. One returning champion, one 4th placer and only 2 additional qualifiers.

Good luck gentlemen.

Wow that's crazy! Perfect example of this new alignment of regions not putting the best competition on the states biggest stage in Huntington. I'm guessing 132 in Reg 1 isn't the only class that has more returnees than spots available? Some of these young man have to go up or down to give themselves a better qualifiying opportunity.
