A more detailed breakdown of place winners might shed a little more light and cut Region 2 a bit of a break, as they had several tough losses in the finals. They actually qualified as many wrestlers into the finals as Regions 1, one more than Region 2, and just one less than Region 4. This also shows Region 4 being even a little more "top heavy" in their place winners. There was also no weight where all 4 from one region placed and definitely not in the top 5, leading to the argument that a likely placer was left at home (unless they were your JV wrestler). Although on many occasions (especially with Region 1 and 2) a wrestler from the same region gave a wrestler (often a projected placer) their 2nd loss and departure from the tournament.
