While we do not even know if there will be a wrestling season at this point. I thought it might be fun to discuss some of our most anticipated matchups for the upcoming year. Obviously some of this will be uncertain since we cannot be 100% on weight classes, etc. However, we can make guesses. This could be anticipated matchups at the State tournament, or just throughout the year between wrestlers in different classes or even other states. An example of this is would have been last year OVAC matchup between Roberts of Parkersburg South and Hall of Oak Glen who were both highly ranked in the nation.

Since I am starting this post I will start with a few:
1) Gavin Quiocho (PS) and Stevie Mitchell (WP)
2) Eric Brothers (WP) and Elijah Edge (St. Albans)
3) Pretty much all of 132 lbs. w/ the possibility of Hobbs (Buck), Jones (PS), Johnson (PS), Hartley (GW), Parker (Univ.), Ramirez (Riverside), Osborne (WW), and Carman (JM) - could make for one heck of a weight class depending on where everyone goes.

Let me know what everyone thinks.

Not sure if this is possible, depending on weight gain...how about Quiocho (PS) vs. either Raike (PP) or Bartee (PP)?

I will also apologzie for my lack of A/AA wrestlers/matchups in my initial post. I'm sure there are plenty of amazing matchups available there as well, I simply dont know enough about wrestlers, expected weights, etc. at those levels to make great arguments.

Highly taunted South Freshman Ayden Morris may be slotted to replace Braxton Amos at 220.

If that is the case, the Morris vs WP’s Charlie Tamburin match could be one to watch.

Aidens dad Bobby Morris is a good friend of mine and he has assured me that Aiden will be at 195. Buckalew will be our 220 wrestler.
There's a good chance that Cam Irizarry might be wrestling this year.

Just to get Mr. Morris's high school career off on the right foot, I believe It is spelled Ayden, and not Aiden. At least that's how the Middle School tournament has it spelled. ;)

Kenny, to quote Phil Hartman doing his Ed McMahon impression, "You are correct, Sir!" :D It is spelled, "Ayden".

(Ahh, the good ol' days when the show was known as "Saturday Night Live" and not just "SNL", and it was actually funny!)
