MEMO to Coaches and Fans regarding West Virginia State Wrestling Tournament
from Bill Archer, Tournament Director
Handicappped Seating - Can sit in area marked by Civic Center or sit around any mat they want.
Doors Open in Front - Due to security check doors will open 30 minutes earlier in front - 90 minutes before the start of each session. Sorry about the security check, it's just the world we live in now.
Coaches and teams in back should be at least one hour early for the same reason as above.
Since wrestlers will have another week to get well from whatever may happen at regions, be careful about withdrawing someone who may be able to wrestle with an extra week to get well.
Please do not expect the brackets to be on your phone like the WSAZ. We have the same person who helped us with the WSAZ trying to write a program for the state. For those of you that don't know, we use a different bracket than most other states (allowed by rule book) to eliminate the 1st round consolation loser meeting the same wrestler in the 2nd consolation round. There is not a bracket like that available at this time for use on computer program.
Give me a call if you have any questions.
