What is the format ?

Should be a split bracket tournament. Loser in the first round are shifted to a new bracket and begin wrestling again. Winners move forward and basically operates as a normal tournament from there. Usually they place out to top 6.

Should be a split bracket tournament. Loser in the first round are shifted to a new bracket and begin wrestling again. Winners move forward and basically operates as a normal tournament from there. Usually they place out to top 6.

First of all, thanks to Mike for the team list. I've been there before when it was run this way, but I can't remember (for team scoring purposes) do the teams get points for the wrestlers in the consolation/bottom-half of the bracket when they move there after the first round. If so how do the 7th/8th placers in the championship/top-half bracket get any placement points. Just curious if someone has a simple explanation on scoring. I'm guessing Mike does if he has the time to address this. Should be a very competitive tournament. Don't personally know enoigh about the out of state teams to give my 2 cents on predictions for team placement.

What is the format ?

Should be a split bracket tournament. Loser in the first round are shifted to a new bracket and begin wrestling again. Winners move forward and basically operates as a normal tournament from there. Usually they place out to top 6.

First of all, thanks to Mike for the team list. I've been there before when it was run this way, but I can't remember (for team scoring purposes) do the teams get points for the wrestlers in the consolation/bottom-half of the bracket when they move there after the first round. If so how do the 7th/8th placers in the championship/top-half bracket get any placement points. Just curious if someone has a simple explanation on scoring. I'm guessing Mike does if he has the time to address this. Should be a very competitive tournament. Don't personally know enoigh about the out of state teams to give my 2 cents on predictions for team placement.

So the teams pick their 14 scorers and if they lose their first match, they do score in the back side but all points are half value, but only 14 scorers per team
