  North Marion High School is seeking a team to round out the field for our Holiday Quad on December 16th. Williamstown has dropped out so we need to fill the vacancy. Our quad runs simultaneously with the Holiday JV Tournament so that all teams that are in the quad can have their whole team compete. Other teams may enter their JV members in the tournament as well (see next item)
  
  Attention Coaches, In conjunction with our Holiday Quad, North Marion will host a JV Tournament on Dec. 16, 2016. The tournament is open to any and all wrestlers of JV status. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. No team score will be kept and a $5 entry fee will be imposed to wrestlers from schools not participating in the quad with a $50 max/team. Coaches please e-mail your JV's and their weight class by December 14th so that I can start bracketing them ahead of time (if your kid is pretty good let me know and I will try to separate them). Weigh-ins are at 4:00 pm, wrestling will start as close to 5:00 pm as we can. Don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions.

  Get the Bell Rung Invitational at Woodgrove (VA) High School
  January 21, 2017
  Get the Bell Rung Invitational is a unique tournament format in that Teams scores and championship are determined by total number of Pins by the team. It is set up in a dual meet/pool format with cross bracketing of teams...dual scores are kept for team records, but trophies are determined by PINS. When a wrestler earns a pin for their team, they go to the head table and ring a bell and fans watch them post an F (for fall) under their team name on the wall...much like K's in baseball for strikeouts in the stands. It has been a fun format in the past and fans like being able to watch the team scores on the wall.
  
  1st and 2nd place team trophies and two individual outstanding pinner trophies.
  
  Very different and fun format toward the end of a long season grind...

  Due to the recent flooding and closing of the Richwood High School the Annual Bill Hutchinson Classic Tournament will be moved to the Nicholas County High School this year and is still scheduled for Dec. 10th 2016.
  
  NCHS is looking for 3 more HS teams and 3 more additional MS teams to compete. The High School format will be 2 pools of 5 and then cross dual the placers in each pool – 5 matches. The Middle School format will be a round robin with 6 teams competing – 5 matches. Wrestling will take place on 4 mats with HS in the main gym and the MS in the auxiliary gym.

  The 2016 Valhalla Duals will be held on June 17-18 in Bristol, Tennessee.
  After our highly successful inaugural tournament last summer, interest in this year’s tournament has been overwhelming! This season we will accept 28 high school teams. Each team will compete in a minimum of 8 matches. Teams should include wrestlers from the same high school, no more than three wrestlers outside the school. No graduated seniors please.
  
  Special Awards will be given to both finalist teams.
  
  If you have never been to Viking Hall in beautiful Bristol, Tennessee, you are in for a treat. This is the premier facility in our area for a wrestling tournament. We have stadium style seating for over 5,000 spectators. In addition, if you want to make a nice summer trip out of the experience there are nice hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail within a few mins drive, several lakes, golf, great shopping including Bass Pro Shops, Cabellas, and other entertainment. NFHS Folkstyle rules. Weight classes are NFHS plus 5. Seven full size mats. We use only State Certified Referees.
  
  Entry Fee: $400 per team -- Payment Deadline May 15th -- If tournament fills up, first 28 paid entries will be accepted. If you have extra wrestlers who would like to be placed with other extras on a farm team, the cost is $40 each
